Corporate Activities Testimonials

When you work in a hectic office environment like ours, it frequently becomes difficult for us all to work as a team- our own work loads often get in the way of us working together. It isn’t that everybody in the office doesn’t get along. We are just so worked off our feet during business hours, we can never really find the time to socialise as friends, as well as colleagues.

The company would be far stronger as a result if we had a stronger, more co-operative team. It isn’t that nobody is willing to work together; it is because the nature of our line of work means we often have to work independently, so never really get any opportunities to show that we are all team players. I knew that booking a team building exercise would be perfect. Not only would it give us a chance to finally work as a team, it would also be the perfect opportunity to escape from our desks for a day.

I began looking around for great team building exercises and corporate events we could take part in. I wanted to choose something out of the box, instead of just taking part in the same old activities every other company treats their staff to. Nobody enjoys the typical staff training day- When I used to work for a different company, I hated the training days even more than the usual day at the office. The pressure was on me to choose something that would raise team morale to an all time record high.

Whilst searching online for activities, I chanced upon the Roll Mania website. There were plenty of zorbing and bubble football locations near us; I knew both would make for a memorable corporate day out, but as far as a team building exercise goes, you get to showcase plenty of leadership and teamwork skills when you play bubble football. Without a moment’s hesitation, I booked a few matches for us at a nearby pitch; there were quite a few people on our team, so it would take a few more five a side matches before we were finished!

Lots of the staff play football unprofessionally on teams with their mates, but none of them have ever played bubble football before, so I knew I was on to a winner with this idea. When they saw clips online of people playing the sport, they couldn’t wait to get onto the pitch and experience it for themselves. Before we left to get to the pitch, I randomly placed every employee in different teams, so they would be able to work in groups they don’t usually work in- it was the perfect way to really break down the barriers between the team.

When we arrived on site, the staff were well aware we were there as part of a corporate event and went out of their way to accommodate us. They were incredibly friendly and helped create a lively atmosphere with the staff on and off the pitch. The day was a success, as everybody got to know other members of the team a lot better, as well as developing their leadership and co-operation skills.

I would definitely recommend a bubble football match for anybody organising a team building event. Make sure you book with Roll Mania, as they go the extra mile to make it perfect to suit your company’s needs.
